Franklin Pierce University is named after the 14th President of the United States and the only president from New Hampshire. The university does not hold any Franklin Pierce artifacts or papers. His presidential papers are held by the Library of Congress.
Scholars will find Pierce manuscripts at the Henry E. Huntington Library in San Marino, California and the New Hampshire Historical Society in Concord, New Hampshire. The Franklin Pierce Homestead in Hillsborough, New Hampshire houses many household artifacts.
