Off-Campus Access to Library Resources

FP Library provides research support and materials to students at all FP campuses and distance learning programs. We endeavor to provide access to materials to students where it is convenient for them - at FP, at home, or at work.

Access to databases

All the research databases to which the library subscribes are available off-campus. Off-campus users must enter an FP login and password.

If you have an FP email login and password, you can use that to access the databases from off-campus. If you do not have FP email login and password, use your campus or program login and password. Each campus (other than Rindge) has it's own set of logins and password assigned to it. Each graduate program also has it's own login. Check in the computer lab on your campus or with the administrative office on the campus you attend to find out which login and password you should use.

The current password is available on the library's eRaven page (FP Faculty/Staff login required.) The library generally doesn't give out login and password information. Students needing the current password should contact their campus or program. Please contact the library if you are having problems logging in or would like help accessing library materials.

Tutorial:

Watch a brief walk-through on accessing databases from off-campus.
(You will need to allow pop-ups and have the Flash plugin installed on your computer.)

Troubleshooting:

Some common problems ...and solutions to try.

  • Your eCollege login and password will not work. Please contact your 'home' campus for the current login and password.
  • Students experiencing problems accessing databases from behind a firewall may need to ask their network administrator to open ports 2048-2248.
  • Passwords change once a year. If you are having problems, call your campus to determine that you have the correct login and password.
